Ruth T. Kelley Cole Life Change Scholarship
The Women and Minorities in Engineering Program at Oregon State University is pleased to announce a new scholarship designed to assist women who are making a career change and becoming an engineer at OSU. The $6,000 scholarship is designed to help alleviate the financial burden of returning to school.

Women in Aviation, International is the fastest growing aviation organization dedicated to encouraging young people to consider aviation careers as well as providing networking opportunities for women and men through the aviation industry.

Native American/Alaska Native/Native Hawaiian Native Americans in Science, Engineering, and Natural Resources (NASENR) provides internship opportunities for undergraduates in engineering. Federal Student Aid for Engineering Students To encourage U.S. students to take more challenging courses in high school and to pursue college majors that are in high demand in the new global economy, the U.S. Department of Education is making available $790 million in new funding as of July 1. Students studying engineering, and "high-need" foreign languages, such as Arabic and Chinese, are eligible for student grants of $750 for their first year of college, $1,300 for their second year, and $4,000 for their third and fourth years, provided they meet certain requirements.
The Grant award is in addition to the student's Pell Grant award

Business Education Compact Paid internships for engineering students in BEC partner companies, such as Intel, Xerox, PGE, and Vernier.

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) NSBE provides various scholarships to members through NSBE and Corporate Scholarship Programs. Individual scholarships range in value from $500 to $5,000

Society of  Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) SHPE scholarships are designed to support Hispanics who pursue careers in engineering, mathematics, and science

Inroads Students of Color in business, engineering, and technology: You may be eligible for paid, multi-summer internships with some of the nations leading companies! See website for more info.

Naval Research Intern Program Ten week summer research opportunity for undergraduate Juniors & Seniors, and Graduate students, under the guidance of a mentor, at a participating Navy Laboratory (list of participating universities is available at http://www.asee.org/nreip). The stipend amounts for the program are $5,500 for undergraduate students and $6,500 for graduate students. U.S. citizenship required; Permanent residents accepted at certain labs.
