Now you can add another "E" to your engineering degree and graduate uniquely prepared for success where the world of engineering meets the world of business.
OSU's Entrepreneurship Minor is a new program offered to engineering and other students interested in the exciting world of entrepreneurship. It's part of OSU's Austin Entrepreneurship Program--the largest residential entrepreneurship program of its kind in the United States
Armed with the Entrepreneurship Minor, you'll be prepared to start your own business while still at OSU, launch a business venture after you graduate, or bring valuable business experience to your employer when you take your first engineering job.
The OSU College of Engineering believes that many engineers are not only innovators and inventors, but entrepreneurs, too--men and women who enjoy the challenge of starting their own companies to promote the products and services they innovated.
When you declare the Entrepreneurship Minor, you can choose to live in historic Weatherford Hall, which has been totally renovated to house the Austin Entrepreneurship Program. At Weatherford, you live, dine, sleep and eat with other entrepreneurial students in a state-of-the-art residential hall that includes dormitory suites, case-study rooms, new venture incubator spaces, a library, sauna, apartments for faculty and visiting entrepreneurs, and an e-Café (named in honor of OSU alumnus Bernie Newcomb, who co-founded E*Trade, one of the nation's first internet stock trading companies).
You'll have access to a wide range of working entrepreneurs and business leaders who visit Weatherford Hall on a regular basis as guests of the Austin Entrepreneurship Program. Because these people stay in the guest suites at Weatherford Hall, they're accessible to Weatherford residents during their visits.
Whether you want to launch your own business venture, or enhance your resume, the Entrepreneurship Minor is an excellent option for engineering students--one that will set you apart in the world, and on the path for success.
The Entrepreneurship Minor is quick and easy to sign up for. Check it out!
