Undergraduate Degree Program

Engineering degrees are awarded by the following departments and programs.

Many new engineering students select the General Engineering program. This first year program is designed to help new students select a major. A Forest Engineering - Civil Engineering major is offered jointly with the College of Forestry. Students that complete this five-year program receive Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil Engineering and in Forest Engineering.

All baccalaureate degrees can be completed in four years. Due to the professional nature of engineering programs, the demanding curricula may not allow time for students to develop additional interests. Most students, therefore, take a term or two longer because of activities such as athletics, ROTC, internships, international exchanges or an interest in other academic areas such as music, the arts or business.
