Concerned about academic success? Wish to consult someone about improving your grades, managing your time, or test preparation? The academic peer coaches in the College of Engineering are happy to meet with you to help you. Coaches are available for consulting, regardless of major.
Academic Coaching: What Is It?
A coach is someone who will help you clarify your academic goals and enhance your academic skills and performance. Academic coaching is a partnership that provides space to explore in conversation how performance might be taken to a new level.

Academic Coaches
Andrew Wellington, IME, Senior
Andy graduated from Pendleton High School and is currently a Senior Majoring in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering. Like many students Andy’s first term at OSU was almost his last, since then he has turned his academic career around. He has worked for both Boeing and Blount International as a MECOP intern and will work for Georgia Pacific as a Process Engineer after graduating in June. Andy’s hobbies include wakeboarding, Scuba Diving, Snow Skiing, Running, Wood working and being involved with IME student groups.
Jennifer Charpilloz, CEM, Sophomore
Jennifer Charpilloz is a sophomore in Construction Engineering Management. Jennifer graduated from North Marion High School and was involved in FBLA, FFA, Track and Cross Country. She enjoys horse riding with her grandpa and staying active. Jennifer recently learned how to snowboard and she cannot wait to get on the slopes this winter. She loves being organized.
Patricia Frazeur, ChemE, Sophomore
Trish is a sophomore in Chemical Engineering. She graduated from West Linn High School in 2007...go Lions! Trish was a competitive swimmer for a number of years and she is a current member of the OSU triathlon club. She enjoys swimming, running, and biking. Trish also enjoys watching college football on Saturdays during the fall. Trish has visited Australia, and she aspires to travel and see the more of the world in the future.
Matthew Martinson, CS, Sophomore
Matt is a sophomore in Computer Science. He graduated from high school in the state of Alaska, and, being a military brat, Oregon is the eighth state he has lived in. Matt enjoys playing tennis, dodgeball, and paintball, and like a large portion of computer science majors, he probably plays just a little too many video games.
Erika McQuillen, CE, Senior
Erika is a senior and will graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering this spring. She graduated from Palm Desert High School, near Palm Springs California. Erika is currently working for Hoffman Construction Company and as an Ambassador for the College of Engineering. She enjoys running, travel and baking.
