Advanced Thermal Hydraulics Research Laboratory (ATHRL)

A cutting-edge lab where researchers build and test scale model next-generation nuclear reactors to help ensure safe operation and potential certification by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

 
The National Center for Accessible Transportation (NCAT)

NCAT focuses on research and development projects that improve the safety and dignity of travelers with disabilities. NCAT involves students, faculty from several OSU Colleges, OHSU, and collaborators from around the world.

Radiation Center

The only university facility of its kind in the western U.S., the Radiation Center supports research, development, and service programs involving nuclear science and engineering, radiation protection, and related disciplines.

 
Energy Resources Research Laboratory (ERRL)

The ERRL has managed the data collection, quality assurance and analysis for the Bonneville Power Administration's wind energy resource studies since 1978 and manages other data management activities for transmission line research.  It maintains a large data base of wind data for the Pacific Northwest.

Microproducts Breakthrough Institute

A collaboration between the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) and Oregon State University, the MBI helps commercialize advanced microproducts based on microtechnologies under development at both institutions.

 
Center for Microtechnology-Based Energy and Chemical Systems (MECS)

The manufacturing advances developed by the electronics industry for MEMS (MicroElectro Mechanical Systems) can be applied to the area of energy, chemical, biomedical and biological systems with as much potential as that which existed at the start of the electronics revolution. We have termed this area Microtechnology-based Energy and Chemical Systems (MECS ).
