PROJECT TO DATE
The project continues progress at a very rapid rate towards final completion slated for early December 2008.
The following planned milestones outline our schedule for the near future:
- Completed -- Structural Steel
- Completed -- Concrete Decks on Floors 2, 3 and roof
- Early June -- Removal of Temporary Exterior Bracing
- Mid June -- Place Roof Mounted Mechanical Equipment & Skylight
- Mid June to Mid August -- Interior Build Out, Metal Studs & Drywall
- September -- Painting
The project continues on budget and slightly ahead of our original schedule – thanks to our hard-working project team!
FUND-RAISING HIGHLIGHTS
To-date, $10,430,094 has been raised in booked commitments through the OSU Foundation against the project budget of $12,018,499. Thank you to all of the donors! Because of the broad range of gifts to this project, the Kresge Foundation honored their challenge grant and sent the $850,000 which is now included in the campaign total. This is a tremendous grant which OSU is very proud of, and our Apperson to Kearney Renovation donors and this important project for students, faculty and industry helped make it happen!
It is crunch time in the fund-raising as we work towards completing the building in December, and it is not too late to participate. Gifts and pledges at all levels can still be made to the renovation and will help us come closer to funding the full project budget and financing.
