The Business Solutions Group is looking to hire Student Developers,
Analysts, and Testers. Please pass this along to anyone you think may be

experience while being paid and going to class.

Position: BSG Student Developer

This is a great opportunity to gain real work experience in software
development and add C# and Visual Studio.NET framework to your resume.

Duties:

*	Developing software for clients using Microsoft .NET
technologies.
*	Working in a team environment comprised of other students and
full-time staff.
*	Attending weekly trainings on new technologies and methods.
*	Helping to make decisions regarding application architecture,
development technologies, and techniques.

Environment:

*	Professional development using Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server
2005 and Team Foundation.
*	Development is done iteratively using Agile Methodologies.

Experience:

*	Knowledge of one or more of the following languages: C#
(preferred), Visual Basic .NET, Java, SQL (preferred), HTML, or XML
(preferred).
*	Knowledge of object-oriented concepts is required. 
*	Knowledge of the Microsoft .NET framework and Visual Studio .NET
is desirable. 

Hours: Monday - Friday available from 7am - 5pm (you make your own
schedule)

Starting wage: $9.12-11.00 per hour, DOE

This is a Student Position only. Students must be taking 6 or more
credits each term to qualify.

Because of the technical nature of the projects, to be accepted in this
position you must have a minimum of 4 terms remaining before graduation.
This can include summer months. Students will be expected to work 10-15
hours a week during the academic year, and around 20 hours a week during
the summer.

College of Business Information Services Department. The BSG is a
complete resource for quality assurance of network technologies and

experience, and functions as a test platform for the deployment of new

Position: BSG Student Analyst

Duties:

*	Maintaining communication between developers and testers. 
*	Creating test plans and overall management of the testing of the
software developed by BSG.  
*	Constructing and maintaining requirements documents, use case
documents, and other documentation for software development projects.  
*	Making decisions regarding what testing methods to use as well
as evaluating the effectiveness of the testing.

Environment:

*	Regular work with products such as Visual Studio, Team
Foundation Server, Sharepoint, Project, Outlook, Office and Excel.

Skills/Experience:

*	Knowledge of the software development life cycle and testing
methodologies is desirable. 
*	Technical writing courses or experience is desirable, but
demonstrated proficiency in professional writing is equally applicable.
*	Must have excellent oral and written skills as you will be
writing documents and interacting with clients.  

Hours: Monday - Friday available from 7am - 5pm (you make your own
schedule)

Starting wage: $9.12-11.00 per hour, DOE

This is a Student Position only. Students must be taking 6 or more
credits each term to qualify.

Long-term availability (12 months or more, including summer) is highly
desirable. Students will be expected to work approximately 15 hours a
week during the academic year.

Position: BSG Student Test Engineer

In this position, students have an opportunity to learn technical skills
and get hands on experience with some of the newest Computer Networking
and Software Development technologies before they've entered the
marketplace.

Duties:

*	Test pre-production Networking Hardware and Software 
*	Building complex testing environments 
*	Setup Hardware and install software 
*	Keep up with emerging technologies 
*	Continue to learn about networking technologies and share
knowledge 
*	Potentially develop test plans 

Environment:

*	4 Lab environments: Interoperability, Network
Management/Features, Wireless, and Software Testing 
*	Each lab has a student manager who oversees the work done 
*	There are 2 full-time test engineers that work with the clients,
answer technical questions, and develop testing plans, etc. 
*	95% of our work is for a top Networking company and requires
non-disclosure agreements 

Desired Skills:

*	Knowledge of Microsoft products 
*	Knowledge of the inner workings of PCs 
*	Knowledge of computer networking 
*	Strong work ethic and ability to learn

This is a Student Position only. Students must be taking 6 or more
credits each term to qualify. Students who can work for a minimum of 9
months are preferred. Graduate students are welcome.
