JobDescription: JOB PURPOSE:

DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*	Design Avionics & Electrical systems of FAR Part 23 General
Aviation light aircraft
*	Prepare and review engineering drawings, wiring diagrams,
reports, specifications and documentations deriving from appropriate
aviation regulations, industry standards, vendor data and
specifications, ensuring the designed systems meet or exceed FAA
regulations in terms of safety and airworthiness qualifications.
*	Interact with Avionics shop, M.E., Q.A. and R&D in the design
phase to produce the best design for the lowest cost (lean design)
*	Interact with DER and FAA in regards to FAA certifications and
engineering data for design approval
*	Work with outside vendors, in conjunction with Purchasing, to
develop and incorporate components for existing product
*	Develop test equipment, prototype components, test plans and
functional test procedures as required
*	Write certification reports, e.g. ELA, EMI, FHA, SSA
*	Involve MRB responsibilities for Avionics and Electrical systems
*	Supervise designer and/or draftsmen
*	Other related duties as assigned.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

*	Ability to perform job self directed and with minimal
supervision
*	Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written means
*	Ability to make decisions based on researched facts
*	Skills and ability to manufacture and/or assemble items designed
*	Familiar with FAA regulations, especially FAR Part 23 related to
Avionics and Electrical systems
*	Familiar with Microsoft Office software
*	Knowledge in CAD, especially AutoCAD, Mechanical Desktop and/or
Inventor


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Include but are not limited to listening, talking, concentration,
standing, sitting, bending and reaching.


OTHER

The Company is a drug free work place, pre-hire and random drug tests
are a condition of employment.


Requirements: Bachelors degree or equivalent in Electrical (preferred)
or Aeronautical Engineering
*	5 years of professional experience in design and engineering
preferred
*	3 years experience in the aviation or related industry preferred
*	Experience with Avionics or Electrical design of components and
systems preferred
*	Ability to manage multiple small projects simultaneously
