JobDescription: JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to create and edit electrical and
avionics engineering drawings through use of CAD programs for drafting
and mechanical design in support of and as instructed by the Project
Engineer.


DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*	New Drawings:  Under the direction of the Avionics Project
Engineer, determine scope, function, etc. of a new design.  Develop,
research, prototype and prepare a functioning solution which may include
creating solid model representations.  Create drawing in accordance with
Company drafting standards. Submit drawings for final approval.
*	Editing:  Make revisions to drawing as determined by the Project
Engineer's written or verbal instruction.  Submit for final approval.
*	Research:  Using available resources, both inside and outside
the Company, investigate the available solutions to design questions.
When indicated, use approved specifications and processes. 
*	Departmental:  Interact with the avionics shop, M.E., Quality
and R&D in the design phase to produce the best design to be
manufactured in the most efficient manner.
*	ECN/DCR:  Create written documents describing required changes
(DCR) and prepare electronic documents describing the affected drawings
and how and why they have been changed (ECN).
*	Checking:  Ensure all drawings and other documents are accurate,
complete and conform to Company specifications. This applies to the
incumbent's own as well as other's work as required.
*	Other related duties as assigned.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

*	Knowledge AutoCAD, Mechanical Desktop and Inventor
*	Knowledge of electrical components and avionics devices as they
are used in general aviation aircraft.
*	Familiar with Microsoft word and excel software
*	Ability to follow both written and verbal instruction
*	Trouble shooting skills
*	Communication skills
*	Ability to respect co-workers suggestions and recommendations


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Include but are not limited to keyboarding, sitting, listening, talking,
concentration, standing, bending and reaching.


OTHER

The Company is a drug free work place, pre-hire and random drug tests
are a condition of employment.


Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS:

*	Associates degree in Engineering and/or CAD Drafting or
equivalent.
*	2 years experience in electrical and avionics aviation design or
equivalent desired.
