Create a PDF document from a Windows lab or office computer
We now offer an easy way to create PDF files without the hassle of using a program (acrobat or ps2pdf)
to create it. Instead, all you have to do is print to a specific printer, and the PDF file will
automatically be created in your home directory.
Steps:
- Open the file you want to print in Word or Excel (or whatever application is appropriate)
- In the Print dialog, choose \\stak\pdf-generator as the printer and click Print
- A file will be created in your home directory (Z: drive) called pdfprint-user-XXXXXX.pdf
where user is your username and XXXXXX is a random grouping of characters.
- That's it! The PDF is ready to be used!
