Use your USB drive with a Linux workstation
Users should now have the ability to use certain USB devices (hard drives, pen drives, usb keys, etc) on the Linux machines in Dearborn 115 and elsewhere in the college.
After plugging in the device, it should automatically mount in /media. Something like /media/usbkey, but if you have named the drive in Windows, it may mount as that name. It should also show up as a device on the desktop. You can then browse to that directory and read and write to the device.
When you're done, you can right click on the device on the desktop and click Eject or run 'umount /media/<name>' from a console
